Special Info  Undean Ford-Doggette was born June 13, 1954 in Unity Hospital Brooklyn New York from the union of the late Oliver Ford Sr. and Vivian Bryant-Ford. She was born the second daughter from Oliver and Vivian’s union. Growing up as a child in Brooklyn, Undean attended the following schools; P.S 156, P.S 213, George Gershwin junior high school and later Thomas Jefferson high school. While continuing her education in 1971, her mother Vivian was ill and later passed away leaving her and her brother Oliver Jr. to live with their Aunt Martha Ann Berry who cared and raised them in East New York, Brooklyn. Upon graduating high school, Undean set her sights on college. In 1978, during her college years, Undean met John Doggette who also lived on New Jersey Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. When John and Undean met she was attending Medgar Evers college to become a certified C.P.A. John was working as a clerk at the European American Bank. They began dating and fell in love. By 1979, Undean joined Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ where she met the late Pastor Aaron A. Brown and first lady Rose Brown. Aaron and Rose would serve as adopted parents to Undean and later as Grandparents to her three sons (Archie, Johnaaron and Daniel). Undean became a serious believer of the faith professing salvation in Christ. She was part of the pastor aide committee, donated to the church and was always seen actively involved in various programs to support the church’s mission. In 1981, while attending church services and going to college, Undean and John decided to advance their love and got married at Pentecostal Temple C.O.G.I.C. Undean decided to take a break from Medgar Evers College and pursued a family with John. Family was a very important thing to her.During the early years of her marriage; Undean took and mastered everything she put her mind to. Some of her talents were computer programing, political science, medical records, plumbing and real estate. During the 80’s and 90’s she was actively involved with Community Board #5 for the Eastern New York District and she was also a member of the District 19 school board. Undean served as a council member and she sincerely cared about her community. In the past, she served as the Block President for New Jersey Avenue between New lots and Hegeman Avenue up until the year 2000 where she was responsible for controlling noise complaints, community issues by fellow neighbors and organized annual block association events. Undean decided to go back to college during her later years. She was a student at ASA college located downtown Brooklyn. At ASA, she earned a certificate in healthcare discipline programs and was well respected by her professors and faculty at the college while also receiving recognition for being at the top of her class. Undean was also very good at crocheting which is a process of creating fabric by interlocking loops of yarn. Undean made blankets, scarfs, hats and even sweaters for family and friends over the years. Undean loved collecting rare plants and had other hobbies over the years but there was nothing on earth that she loved more than her three sons: Archie, Johnaaron and Daniel who she raised in the fear of the lord and she constantly reminded them with that sweet and pleasant phrase, ‘’ Jesus loves you and I do too. ‘’ Undean has touched so many lives. Whether it was fellow saints at Pentecostal, Healing from Heaven, Church of the Open Door, Neighbors on New Jersey Avenue or 200 Tillary St. she was well-respected and beloved by many as a God fearing, intelligent, courageous, and kind-hearted woman. She will be missed but not forgotten by many. Undean leaves to mourning her surviving adopted parent: Rose Brown, Spouse: John Doggette, Siblings: Regina Fuller, Oliver Ford Jr., Shabrina and Phyllis. Children: Archie, Johnaaron and Daniel. Grandchildren: Sanielle, Nathaniel, Davina and Malachi and a host of many more relatives and friends.
