Special Info  Theresa Joan Joseph affectionately known as Mislyn by friends and Mom by family members was born in River Sallee, St. Patrick’s Grenada to the parents of Ophelia Joseph and Felix Jones on October 18, 1935. She was the youngest of four children. At the age of thirty-five she accepted Christ as her lord and savior and attended the River Sallee Pentecostal Church. Theresa attended The River Salle Government School where she was an avid reader and excelled in her studies. In 1982, she migrated to the United States, residing in the borough of Brooklyn NY. After settling down she worked tirelessly to help her nine children and grandchildren migrate to the United States to provide them with a better life. Her intentions were to provide successive generations with a better quality of life. Her goodwill for her children also reflected in her spiritual example and aspirations. Hence, for fifteen years she remained a faithful member of Holy Love Pentecostal Church, where she devotedly served as deaconess. At the time of her passing she was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church. Known as being a homebody, Theresa spent as much time as she could with her family surrounded by love, laughter and happiness. She loved to cook, bake and was known by her grandchildren for her fudge, snow ice, cocoa tea and candy bags she would carefully make during each visit. Theresa was a giving and kind woman, who loved to help others when they were in need and offering the best advice which was filled with care and wisdom. Theresa has touched the hearts of everyone she has encountered, and she will be greatly missed. She passed away peacefully on March 13, 2018 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. She leaves to cherish her memories nine children; Glen, Catherine, Bernadette, Carvell, Ellen, Jean, Raymond, Stephen (Wendell) and Yvonne. Twenty-five grandchildren; Greg, Andy, Rocky, Kad, Samuel, Kyron, Kerryann, Kady, Kareen, Kelvin, Tyree, Kathyann, Cindyann, Ronnie, Sherine, Shanel, Kwame, Ayanna, Stephen Jr., Ashleigh, Devin, Callie, Sherryann, Kelson and Kellon. Sixteen great grandchildren, siblings; Dowlyn, Lloyd, Coxie and Lloydrice and a host of other relatives and friends, including James Grant better known as Dick, Jacqueline, Jilllian, Cicely and family and caretakers; Ms. Herma and Ms. Volda. Rest peacefully beloved Mom, knowing that your life and spirit will continue echoing in our hearts and minds through eternity. Be assured that your life has made an enormous difference in the world and may you forever be tenderly cradled in the warm embrace of our almighty God.
