Special Info  Reverend Felicia Fleming was born on February 25, 1951 in Belle Vue, Tortola, British Virgin Islands to (the late) Alsedro Fleming and Juanita Fahie. During her childhood, she lived with her step-father and mother Claude and Juanita Maloon. She attended elementary and junior high school in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. When she was thirteen, her father moved her from the Virgin Islands to Brooklyn, New York where she lived with his wife Vivian and their children. Felicia attended Thomas Jefferson High School where she graduated in 1970 and was the recipient of awards in fashion. After graduating and swiftly gaining her independence, she worked as a bank teller at Chase Bank. Felicia then went on to work as a law clerk for over twelve years at a law firm located in Manhattan. Her responsibilities included conducting legal research, preparing bench memos and proofreading the judge's orders and opinions, until the firm closed their doors. When that door closed another opened. Felicia always had a passion for helping, so she pursued and obtained her Licensed Practical Nurse and her Registered Nurse certifications from the University of the State of New York in 1991 and 1997 respectively. She later earned her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 2000 from the College of Staten Island. With over thirty years in nursing, a forever learner, she attended conferences, workshops and continuing education classes. She worked in the operating room, emergency room, for Visiting Nurses Services of New York and she worked as a School Nurse for the city of New York until April of 2020. Like her mother, she had an entrepreneurial knack. She started and was the sole proprietor of "MRS P BETTER HATS BOUTIQUE" from 2001 to 2018 catering to all, but especially the church ladies throughout Brooklyn. In 2012, Felicia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized. That same year, she became an Ordained Missionary under the Pentecostal Association of North America Inc. and dedicated her life to preaching the Gospel. She loved being a child of God. She taught and preached the word of God over the air waves, one-and-one and in church. In 2018, Felicia accepted the call of the Lord and became an Ordained Minister under Bishop Dr. Alphonso Barnes. A year later, she went on to expand her ministry by founding the New Pentecost Church of God. Felicia was married to the late James Henry Parson in 1977, from that union, they were blessed with one child, Derrick. She remarried the late Bishop Phillip E. Reid in 2015. On May 3, 2020 Reverend Felicia Fleming was called home to be with the Lord. Felicia was preceded in death by her husband Bishop Phillip E. Reid, mother Juanita Maloon and father Alsedro Fleming. She is survived by her one son Derrick Parson; her siblings: Alicia Maloon-Traylor, Amicita Maloon-Gibson, Cleve Maloon, Edris Underwood, and Estelle Maloon; David Warner, Andre, Mary, Maria, Doris, Roger, Dawn, Darrin, and Patrice Fleming; a special cousin Lydia Smith; best friends Regina Williams and Joan Campbell-Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones.
