to the family, we are praying that you’ll find comfort in your memories of shala and in the knowledge that others are missing her too. i will always cherish the times i had the pleasure to be in her company. whenever i saw shala, she would always run towards me, not walk, and give me the warmest embrace and greet me with “hi cousin roy.” that angelic embrace i will always cherish. when shala embraced you, you knew you were truly loved and felt the true meaning of the word “family.”
